5 TIP

James will inform the full contractors of the procedure for completing the electronic TIP in January. The TIP should be completed by 24 March.

6 COSTS

Partners should check that they do not overspend and also do not substantially underspend their budgets. The University partners in particular need to catch up on their spending in this year. Giovanni to write to James about the changed use of his subcontract funds.
**********ACTION: GIOVANNI*****

7 PUBLICATIONS AND CONFERENCES

Three papers are under review for the Third International Conference on Debris-Flow Hazards Mitigation at Davos in September 2003. Other publishing opportunities are EGU at Nice in April 2003 and Interpraevent 2004. Jose maria will circulate details of a meeting in Armenia.
**********ACTION: JOSE MARIA****

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SEND TWO COPIES OF ALL PUBLICATIONS TO JAMES FOR FORWARDING TO THE EC.

8 FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME 6

All partners had joined the consortium for the Expression of Interest CASSIOPEIA in June. However, the relevant workprogramme is such that this proposal cannot continue. It is also difficult to see how the DAMOCLES consortium can continue, at least for an integrated project. Opportunities may lie in Networks of Excellence and in the Marie Curie training and mobility scheme. The workprogramme contains a call for an integrated project on Integrated Earthquake and Landslide Disaster Management Methodology. James is in touch with a possible proposal consortium and will keep partners informed as appropriate.

9 TABLE OF PARTNER INFORMATION

There has not been any change in partner information.

10 FORMAL END OF MEETING

James thanked the partners for their tremendous support, collaboration and cooperation during the project. This had made his job as coordinator both easy and pleasurable. Jose Maria responded on behalf of the partners, thanking James for his coordination efforts and for keeping them on track during the project.
